The short version: Your photos are yours. We built NOLA Film Plug so the images you trust us with live on our own servers, get deleted on a clear timeline, and are never handed to anyone else's cloud, AI, or advertising machine. Here's exactly how we handle your information.
Your photos and scans
- Your scans are stored encrypted on our own server (which we rent from Hetzner, in Germany) — not on Amazon, Google, Dropbox, or a photo-gallery service like Pixieset or ShootProof.
- We deliver them to you only through private, expiring links — never a public URL someone could guess. When the storage window closes, the files are permanently deleted.
- No AI, face recognition, or auto-tagging is ever run on your images, and no outside company processes them.
- We delete your scans automatically 90 days after we let you know they're ready. Members keep their scans for as long as their membership is active, and you can ask us to delete yours sooner anytime — just email data@nolafilmplug.com.
What we collect
To develop your film and run the shop, we collect only what we need: your name, your contact info (email and/or phone), your order details, and payment information. Nothing more.
The companies we work with — and what they never see
We keep our toolset deliberately small, and we'll always be straight about who's involved:
- Square — our store and payment processing (checkout and payments).
- Proton — our email.
- Resend — sends order-status email notifications.
- Dialpad — our phone and text messaging.
- EasyPost — shipping labels for mailed orders (your address only).
None of these ever receive your photos. Our email and text messages contain updates and private links about your order — never the images themselves. Your scans never leave our own servers. Your film is developed and scanned by our local lab partner; only NOLA Film Plug controls your finished digital files.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your phone number, we use it to send you order updates (like "your scans are ready") and to answer you when you text us.
- We do not sell or share your mobile number or your messaging opt-in with anyone, for marketing or any other purpose.
- Reply STOP at any time to opt out of texts; reply HELP for help.
- Message frequency varies with your order. Message and data rates may apply.
Your choices and your data
- Texts: reply STOP to opt out anytime.
- Email: we only email you about your orders — email us to opt out of anything non-essential.
- See or delete your data: email data@nolafilmplug.com to request a copy of the information we hold about you, or to ask us to delete it.
Children
Our services are for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.
